The Mayan and Hopi Prophecies: My Point of View
More or less, we’ve all been deceived by the missed happening of the Mayan and Hopi prophecies, that’s been going on TV, newspapers, and magazines, and all describing scary apocalyptic scenarios. Thousands fell for it and spent huge amounts of money getting ready for the end of the world that never happened; they were the ones most hurt. Besides them, the large middle-low class of the world’s population was hit too, and was hit thanks to their widespread naïve attitude. They all have been played by the many cable-TV shows broadcasted even on the Internet, that had only one thing in mind: raise their listening rates to a high level never achieved before.
In reality the Mayan and Hopi prophecies happened,... in a very subtle way, but they did happened. However, before I get into explaining how, according to my point of view, such events occurred, it’s imperative that I remind you about this human specie’s attribute that Mother Nature gave us, and that we constantly forget about. Yes, I am talking about the self preservation feeling that lurks in the back of our mind and inevitably comes up every time we are confronted with something we can’t explain and mysterious. True, there wasn’t much we could have done against the End of the World nevertheless the mechanism worked, and the result was what we lived last December 21st, 2012.
The Mayan prophecies foresaw that “all around the world a manifestation of fire would happen” surprising all the populations. The Hopi predicted “a sudden collective desire of happiness and joy,” in sync the Mayan event. Both were referring to a positive situation, not a catastrophe like many believed, and these manifestation occurred through the hundreds of pyrotechnic “FIRES” shows launched around the world, NOT on the 21st, but on the 31st of December… (a calendar interpretation error?) Beautiful shows of lights and colors lit the starry skies of many cities around the world, ranging from Asia to Africa, from Europe to all Americas and Australia, considered the most spectacular, as it had never happened before. Millions of people filled the squares and streets to witness the fire in the sky, and exchange hugs and kisses of friendship or love, expressing their wish to start a new process of peace, something hard to come by now a day. For a brief period of time the world was united, without bad feeling, but open hearts and a strong wish of happy togetherness.
This, in my opinion, is the Christmas gift that the Maya and Hopi gave us, a white magic curse with a message of hope for a better future for all.

  1. I never though of it that way but OK, and the lights in the sky. I'll take your word for it. I have great expectations for our species.
